I've been a slacker

I have been kind of a slacker around the house when it comes to my audio/video stuff lately. That changed tonight! I spent a few hours tonight redoing our family room and rewiring. Last night a guy from directv was here to install a new dish and upgrade our receiver. Our old one was on the fritz and we needed the upgrade. They went ahead and put the new dish up because our signal was pretty week.

Anyway, since that was done I figured its high time I set the family room up for the NFL season. Got the surround sound all jamming and with the new picture we are looking and sounding great. Just in time too. Next weekend we are going to host the first Real Life football party. It's for all the people in the fantasy football league. It's going to be a good time!

Fantasy Football Part II

I went online and signed up for our fantasy football league tonight. I am going to kick the pants off the rest of the league! I want you all to know right now that it is nothing personal and I love you all. But, you're going down.

I have done really well the last 5 years I have play the game and this year will be my best and most dominant year ever. Allow the trash talking to begin!!!!

Fantasy Football?

Here we are the first part of July and I am already thinking about fantasy football. I was thinking it might be fun to get a league going at church. If anyone wants to take that over and become a league commissioner let me know and we'll start planning it. If no one else wants to lead it i suppose I could but it would be great to see one of you guys or gals step up for this one. And you heard me right. I said gals. The women are invited to get their own team.

Correction: It's not a party until a Trezzo gets hurt

I am not so big that I cannot admit when I am wrong. I got a call today from Tony Trezzo who took issue with yesterday's Sunday mind dump. I stated that it was a great party and no one got hurt. Apparently, shortly after I left a boy (who shall remain nameless to protect the parents) kicked a volleyball pretty hard. That ball hit Tony in the back of the head apparently causing some sort of trauma. Tony's sunglasses somehow cut up Tony's face.

Apparently, there was not a long string of profanity laced rants, nor was there a retaliatory free kick at the young boy, and 911 was not called. Which proves one thing. Tony is growing up!

Almost wished I could have seen it!

Rough Day

My Wolverines got spanked today in Wi. I was really bumming about it until our bitter rivals got beat down today to. Too bad for all you Buckeye fans. It'll be a shame to see your team lose it's last two games after being ranked #1 for almost the whole season.

Fall Bad. Football Good.

As much as I dislike leaving summer behind I love the start of the football season! For those of us who love football, and I know I am talking to 99.99982 % a male readership on this one. Is there anything better than Sunday? Getting up (not too early), going to church, worshiping God, then coming home stretching out on the couch or your favorite chair and watching the king of all sports NFL football!!

I also note. My wife has become a huge football fan over the years. Not because she cares one bit about the game. What she loves about football is that she gets a three hour nap when the games are on.

This weekend I'll be into the Tampa Bay vs St. Louis rams game. Course this weekend I'll have to TIVO the game because the band is playing in Blissfield today for another new church plant. Which by the way is pretty exciting for me. I love church planting and I get so see another one start up on day one.
